My post isn't quite what Ben and Robin asked for, but none the less I feel that it fits into the scheme of the assignment. What I want to talk about is politics and the constant flip flop, specifically the one that my current generation is going through. I'll keep my own personal beliefs out of this, but I think the way that people follow the media, while being convinced they aren't, is just a bit silly. Let's start with everybody's favorite President, Mr. George W. Bush. Now there isn't any denying that the media hit Bush hard. A giant wave of reprimand crashed over the Bush administration that caused a blind hatred by loads of people, especially people in my generation. I had several conversations with people who in matter of weeks went from thinking Bush was doing a fine job to absolutely hating him, solely based on what the media said. When the election came up, people had changed to not democrat, but anti-republican. The worst part about this was that I questioned my friends as to why they wanted a democrat in office instead of a republican, they all listed republican qualities that they desired. I have seen the same thing happen with President Obama.
I think that this blind following fits into the same sort of BS that Ben was talking about. People buy into whatever spin the media puts on the current President and goes along with it without checking to see if any of the facts are actually true.
